Versions & Services FAQs

SlabWare is a **cloud-based inventory management and e-commerce software package developed specifically for the stone industry**. Our goal is to increase the sales of our customers by helping them to organize and manage their inventory and make it available at a custom online store.

Once you decide to acquire your SlabWare system the next step is to choose the domain you’d like to use for your new website. This domain can be anything, for example `inventory.yourcompanyname.com`. If your company already has a website that you want to keep you can simply **link from there to the inventory section of your SlabWare website** and still use all the inventory management and sales features behind the scenes.

We’re ready to assist you and once you give us your approval we can have your website ready to go within **48 hours**.

One of the main purposes of SlabWare is to give you the ability to show your inventory **directly to your customers on your SlabWare website**. You can choose to give as much or as little information as you like with photos, prices, dimensions, quality notes and more available.

SlabWare is a unique e-commerce tool for the stone industry. By providing the online features, it’s possible to greatly increase your sales. Customers can browse inventory without calls, emails, or showroom visits, increasing site returns.

SlabWare has integrated **QR code label printing**, readable with any smartphone or tablet[cite: 424].

SlabWare is the **only online inventory management system specifically designed for the stone industry**. It offers the best in inventory management and the ability to display your materials to customers on your own SlabWare website. This ability to show (and sell!) materials **24/7** is a key element of SlabWare’s vision.

This version is designed for businesses selling in quantities from **bundles to full containers**. The software focuses on the **export industry** and managing information specialized to that sector.

This version is designed for companies that **import materials and distribute them locally in slab or multi-slab quantities**. Most customers are in the US or Canada, but the software is adapted for any country.

This version was designed specifically for **fabricators**. Tools include a **kitchen visualizer**, **online quoting**, **job tracking**, and **scheduling**.

Currently, the system is only available in **English and Portuguese**. However, the backend can work and display in **any currency** you choose, with both **metric and imperial** measurements.

  • Cloud Server
  • Domain Name / Website Address
  • Full “Front End” Customer Facing Website
  • Complete “Back End” Inventory Management System
  • Training & Maintenance
  • Mobile App for iOS and Android Phones & Tablets (**Distributor & Exporter Versions Only**)

*A resposta para esta pergunta no código fonte original (cite: 450) é idêntica à de idiomas (cite: 450). Para fornecer uma resposta lógica, seria necessário mais contexto, mas mantendo a informação da fonte (cite: 450):*
Currently our system is only available in English and Portugese but the backend can work in and can display in any currency you choose and with both metric and imperial measurements.

While we’re happy to let you use any version you prefer, we want to ensure you understand the differences.

The **Distributor version** is designed to sell **whole slabs** and allows customers to log in, view slabs/prices, and buy immediately. The backend suits this model.

The **Fabricator version** focuses on maximizing profits, with built-in support for **remnants and less-than-slab quantities**. It allows customers to view materials but you can choose not to show prices, letting you control the information flow and maximize sales. Feedback on the Fabricator Version has been overwhelmingly positive.

You can use SlabWare from **any device with an internet connection** including computers, smartphones, and tablets. You can login to your own SlabWare front-and-back-end systems from any computer using your login and password.

You **always manage your own inventory photos**. Your settings can ensure any photo uploaded on your backend is automatically displayed on your front end website, but you have control over who can see what. You never need us to make things visible or hidden for you.

**No**. SlabWare is designed for the **inventory management and sales activities** of your business. You’ll need a separate system for local financial transactions and accounts payable. Since SlabWare integrates with QuickBooks for Accounts Receivable (AR), they recommend also using them for your Accounts Payable (AP) needs.

The distributor and exporter versions have features to improve customer relationships. Our **CRM (Customer Relationship Management) modules** can:
  • Send personalized emails with special offers.
  • Track customer logins and monitor website traffic.
  • Allow customer order tracking and document creation.
Invoices, packing lists, and requests for payment can all be sent direct from SlabWare.

SlabWare can automatically generate most reports you’ll need. Examples include:
  • Slab activities and status updates (held, sold, consigned).
  • Groupings based on any criteria you choose.
  • **Distributor version also generates:** customer lists, order lists, pending/past due payments, and open invoices.

SlabWare is entirely **cloud-based** and features **ASP.net, C#, JQuery, Ajax**, and other components.

All of the SlabWare versions have **free trials available**. Simply go to the **Product Trials page on slabware.com**, select the version, sign up, and your login information will be emailed to you.

Since Slabware is **cloud-based** it requires an **internet connection to operate**.
